Marketing & Events Assistant

Sociable Solutions is a community-focused marketing and events company that helps local businesses and organizations grow through creative marketing, social media, and meaningful events. We’re looking for a reliable, organized, and creative Marketing & Events Assistant to join our team in a flexible, part-time role.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, loves staying organized, and wants hands-on experience in both marketing and event support.

THE DETAILS:

• Part-time: Starting at approx. 8-10 hours per week, with opportunity for additional hours based on projects and event needs

  • Typical work hours would be Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm

• Location: Thunder Bay, Ontario

  • Flexible on-site and remote work options available on a project to project basis

• $20-$22/hr based on experience and with room for growth

• Valid Canadian driver’s license and personal vehicle (required)
  

What You’ll Be Doing

Marketing Support

• Assisting with social media content scheduling

• Supporting post planning and organization

• Sending content to clients for approval and managing feedback

• Helping keep marketing projects and timelines on track

• Light administrative support related to marketing tasks

• On-site production support when needed / assisting videographer and photographer

Event Support (as needed)

• Assisting with event setup and teardown

• On-site support during events

• Communications and logistical support

• Helping with event materials, coordination, and organization

• Supporting communication with vendors, partners, and team members

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Clear and professional communication skills

• Comfortable using social media platforms

• Able to manage tasks independently and stay on top of deadlines

• Friendly, dependable, and adaptable

• Willingness to help at events, which may occasionally include weekends or longer days (you’ll always receive advance notice)

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle

• Based in or near Thunder Bay

• Comfortable with a hybrid work setup (some in-office time required)
