Paul

Paul’s family hails from Toronto originally but a job with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra brought his parents here in 1975 with the intent to return to southern Ontario. Now in 2021, he and his three siblings were all born and raised in Port Arthur and his parents don’t seem to be leaving any time soon.

Paul loves to work with his hands, putting his efforts into woodworking projects and residential construction. He likes to enjoy the great outdoors, hiking and mountain biking which makes sense as to why his favourite place in the city is out by Trowbridge. “ It’s got something special for you every season and there are so many outdoor activities available year round. The trails seem like they have endless options, and the Black Sheep have been doing an incredible job of maintaining and creating new mountain biking trails.”

Thunder Bay’s small town pride is what makes it special for Paul. He spends much of his time downtown P.A. and shopping, eating, and drinking locally, including volunteering at Lovely Body. “We have so many unique local shops and businesses, and delicious bakeries and coffee shops that you’ll want to visit every day.”

The current item he couldn’t live without would be Zelda Breath of the Wild! He may or may not be addicted.

Something he has learned about himself this past year? “I learned that I am a much better mountain biker in my head than I am in the real world.”
